What is FaceTime?

FaceTime is Apple's version of Skype, Google Hangouts or videoconference. Allows anyone with a MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, iPhone, iPad or video chat with others in real time. The best part is that it's completely over WiFi or mobile data so you do not have to pay for every call, even if the other person halfway around the world! Here are some key features that make it a great application as for home and business.

FaceTime windows

Make calls only audio or video and audio to anyone with an Apple product Make calls over Wi-Fi or your mobile data device Answering calls with a touch when someone asks FaceTime Make use of the front iPhone and iPad camera or back to share everything around you Easy setup involves simply enter your Apple ID and password are completely Calls (data charges less) free national and international level

As you can see, FaceTime is one of the main applications you should use to connect with friends and family. But what if you have a PC and want to use this application? We'll get into that later. Using FaceTime Android emulator or iPadian?

I want to dispel the myth that a lot of other sites have been claiming. There are several sites that say you can download an emulator like BlueStacks Android FaceTime and can run using the emulator. This is just silly for a few reasons. The first reason is that Android emulator is just that, it's not an emulator for iOS.

Therefore, in an Android emulator you can only download applications running on an Android device. Unfortunately, FaceTime is not available for Android so this may not be an option. The other reason is because unlike other applications, FaceTime is built into the application, which means it is already on your device and is not available to add through the Apple App Store. The only way to reinstall FaceTime an Apple product is to reinstall OS X or iOS operating system that has to be included.

If at some point in the future, Apple creates a FaceTime Android, then you will be able to use an emulator to run it on your PC. Until then, that is not an option in the future. Another point is that the only useful iPadian emulator that can emulate iOS iPhone and iPad applications on your PC or Mac.

However, as of this writing, iPadian not allow any application to be downloaded. You are limited to a dozen applications that have been preloaded into the emulator. Therefore, although other sites saying you can not you can Download FaceTime for PC iPadian run on your Windows computer. FaceTime on the remote desktop PC

Can you get FaceTime for your PC using Remote Desktop? The short answer is yes, but there are some caveats. This is the only option to run the application on your PC. Since Apple has made the application available only to their products, there is no way to run FaceTime on nothing but their products. Therefore, your only option is remote from a Mac running FaceTime and use it that way.

The best and easiest option out there is Google Chrome Remote Desktop. If you have a Google account and install Google Chrome, that's all it takes for its creation and operation. Of course, you need a Mac computer work for this option. If your parents, friends, colleagues, etc., have a Mac. Ask if it's okay for you to remote control your Mac to run FaceTime. See also:

FaceTime for PC

Follow these steps for Chrome Remote Desktop in place between the PC and Mac:

Install Google Chrome on the PC and Mac computers Search Chrome Remote Desktop or click the link above to install the application on your Chrome browser Chrome Allow Remote Desktop access for both teams Go to the Chrome App Launcher and start the Enable remote desktop application on your PC remote connections in Chrome Download and install Host Desktop Installer Create a PIN that allows other computers to access your computer. In the Mac go to System Preferences and then Chrome Remote Desktop Host Preferences and enter the PIN number and then click Enable. You will now be able to find and connect to your Mac remotely from your PC.

By following the above steps you will be able to remotely connect to any Mac as long as you have access rights to the computer. Then, from the PC you can connect remotely and use FaceTime much as you want. It can be used to make or receive calls and chat with your friends if they are using an iPhone, MacBook Pro, or iPad.

This is really the only valid option you have if you want to use FaceTime for PC. FaceTime is Open Source

As some of you know, Steve Jobs announced at WWDC 2010 that Apple would make FaceTime open source. This means that all the code and share the ability to modify the code to developers. The end result would mean that a person who probably in the next Android Windows or create a FaceTime equivalent for your platform and allow FaceTime to close the gap between Apple products and the products of Windows and Android.

Unfortunately, Apple has not fulfilled this promise and have yet to make FaceTime open source. Hopefully Apple wakes up and realizes that this could be an excellent level that the world could use. It could compete with large companies such as Skype video calls and allow free and easy video and audio communication between different parts of people. Shop Mac

This may sound a little silly, but I want to emphasize that if you really want to use FaceTime, you may want to consider purchasing an older Mac. You can buy low end of Apple computer, the Mac Mini, new for $ 500 . Besides that, you can buy a used one for much cheaper than that, you probably find one for a few hundred dollars.

FaceTime Mac mini

This gives you the option to natively use the application while not having to deal with a remote desktop connection and search for other Mac for you to use. You can also buy an old iPod touch. The fourth-generation iPod Touch or later supports the use of FaceTime and allow you to make and receive calls all you want. A new iPod Touch retails for $ 199 and you can buy a used one for $ 100 easily.

Give a thought to whether it is worth buying an Apple product, relies on a remote desktop, or if it will continue with other messaging applications like video below. FaceTime Alternatives for PC
